Instant Pot Chakalaka and Cheese Pap

"Pap in the Instant Pot? Absolutely!!! I was actually skeptical about whether or not it would work but I did it. I was super excited" !!!!

Ingredients:

Maize meal
Water
Salt 
Chakalaka
Cheese sauce 
Grated mozzarella cheese 
Grated cheddar cheese 
 
To your instant pot add boiled water and a little bit of salt, add your maize meal a little at a time while whisking continuously until combined. Set your pressure cook to Steam , on high heat for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes open the pressure cooker and mix your pap then steam for another 15 minutes, repeat this process 2 more times, in total steam the pap for 45 minutes/ 1hour (in 15 minute intervals)
 
Take your pap a step further:
 
In a oven safe dish start of by layering your cooked pap right at the bottom followed by some chakalaka/a relish of your choice then repeat until you get to the top of your dish then top the pap tart with cheese sauce and some cheese 
Pop this in the oven at 180C for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and become a light golden brown colour.

Enjoy the pap with braai meat or any  side of your choice.
