Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Serves 4 – 6
Set your Instant Pot onto Sauté then add in:
2 large spoons ghee
1 piece cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Toast your spices.
2 finely chopped/grated onion’s
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup water
Sauté until translucent.
1 kg mutton
1 tablespoon red ginger garlic masala
1 tsp green chilli/masala
2-3 tsp dhania jeera
1 tsp salt
0.5 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tablespoon vinegar
2 grated tomatoes
2 tsp tomato paste
Brown your meat. Now add:
3-4 potatoes, peeled and cut
1 salt
2 cups water
Optional: extra chilli powder.
Pressure Cook for 10-12 minutes
Quick Pressure Release (do not NPR)
Add:
2 cups washed rice
2 tsp salt
Set your Instant Pot onto the Sauté function and change to Low by pushing Sauté button more than once. Set time to 15 minutes and cover with a normal lid. Stir gently 1-2 times to ensure rice is cooking evenly, taste for salt. Be careful not to break your potatoes.
Garnish with coriander.
Serve & Enjoy!
